We went way up in the back country late this afternoon. Rolled a few micro Tarpon on a gurgler. The switched to a loxahatche river crusher & were rewarded with a small fat snook & a really nice common snook.

Yesterday Jack from Upstate N. Y. received a trip to fish with me for his birthday. This was his 1st trip offshore with the fly rod & he said I’m coming back. The Albies are thinning out as we had to work for them. Hopefully will see a push mid September till mid October along with Skippys & Black Fin Tuna.

Boy did we have to work for them today as it was slick calm. But around 11:00 we got a little easterly breeze & it was game on. Hung a few good 1’s as well.

What an epic bite today. Had to go a little deeper but they around in big numbers. We just drifted for miles.

John from Delray Fl did some damage offshore even with the angry sea. Albies Rainbow & Blue Runners. Then came inside & found a pod of big Jacks. He hooked up on 1st cast & fought it for awhile & then leader broke.

Kenny from N. J. came out for his 1st offshore excursion with the long rod. He had an epic morning.

7/21/24

Changed things up this morning & went for Peacock Bass. Had a great morning size 4 Clousers or size 1 half & half were the ticket. They were very finicky

7/19/24

Had the boys out this morning & they crushed the Albies. They were whopped. Sharks were bad

7/13/24

We had to work a little for them this morning but the husband & wife got it done. Broken rod & lost line. Nothing out of the ordinary.

7/12/24

Epic is only way to describe the fishing. Floating & intermediate lines & no chumming
