We hit the FW looking for some nice Electric Ditch Pickles. We found a few even a very nice Ditch Pickle. Had to deal with off & on rain. Flys of choice were 3” baitfish patterns.

Last night was to remember. Eric caught his personal best Snook on fly. He thought it was a Catfish at1st as it wasn’t fighting & then all hell broke loose when she took off plus his reel handle broke off. He had to fight this beautiful fish using the counter balance weight as his reel handle.

There was a good amount of Mullet in the river this morning. After putting 6-Tarpon in the air we finally boated 1.

What a night. Had to deal with storms blowing through but we stuck it out & it paid off. We hooked close to a bakers dozen Tarpon. Landed 1 broke another off & put 4 in the air. And thrown in for good measure a Snook. Floating line & white mullet flys.

Well we got offshore this month & there’s still plenty of Albies around. Most of them are small. Rock piles have some nice Spanish Mackerel on them.

We went way up in the back country late this afternoon. Rolled a few micro Tarpon on a gurgler. The switched to a loxahatche river crusher & were rewarded with a small fat snook & a really nice common snook.

Yesterday Jack from Upstate N. Y. received a trip to fish with me for his birthday. This was his 1st trip offshore with the fly rod & he said I’m coming back. The Albies are thinning out as we had to work for them. Hopefully will see a push mid September till mid October along with Skippys & Black Fin Tuna.

Boy did we have to work for them today as it was slick calm. But around 11:00 we got a little easterly breeze & it was game on. Hung a few good 1’s as well.

What an epic bite today. Had to go a little deeper but they around in big numbers. We just drifted for miles.

John from Delray Fl did some damage offshore even with the angry sea. Albies Rainbow & Blue Runners. Then came inside & found a pod of big Jacks. He hooked up on 1st cast & fought it for awhile & then leader broke.
