Last night the mission was to get Dave his 1st Tarpon ( the past 2 days he’s put them in the air ) Well last night was no different unfortunate the 1 he hooked put on a nice air show but broke off. He did manage a Snook slam Common, Fat & Tarpon all on a black deer hair Mullet

Did an exploratory trip last night. Headed south of where we usually fish. Found a couple of small Snook & baby Tarpon to eat the Loxahatchee River Crusher. To be honest I’d rather fish were we always fish

We found some Mullet eaters again this morning. All white & all black spun deer hair Mullet flys 4-5” long. Snook Jacks his 1st Tarpon he put in the air & had another 1 brake him off on a piling

All I can say is I wish I was as luck as this guy. 1st time Tarpon fishing & he goes 3-3. Also a few small Snook. Size 1 all Black hackle & spin deer head

Last night we had heavy wind with an awesome heat lighting show. Fishing was pretty good until the rain came. All black hackles with black spun deer hair about 3-4” in length. We put 2 Tarpon in the air caught a bunch of Snook. The biggest Snook put up an awesome fight. Going under the boat then ran towards the dock & got into it. Don’t know how we got her out w:o breaking off.

All white spun deer hair did some damage on the Snook last night. Common & Tarpon Snook. James got his PB

Found a lot of fish to eat a 5” white deer hair Mullet. Lost to many fish put 3 Tarpon in the air.

Last night we had some challenging conditions. Heavy NE wind against the tide but managed to put a good catch together. White Schminnows in size 2 along with an all white marabou & hackle fly we use for swinging to fish. Lost a few nice fish to wearing through the shock. Heading over to Anna Maria Island today. Hopefully get into some Snook Reds & Trout.

Last night was more of casting lesson but we managed a few Jacks Snook ( his 1st Snook on fly ) & Moon fish. All white size 2 Schminnows & 4” Mullet patterns. Lost a couple of nice fish but couldn’t get the Tarpon we saw to eat.

It’s that time of the year. Mullet run is on. Key is to find lights that aren’t inundated with them. Others wise it’s very tough to compete with them. The young lady did manage to land 3- different species of Snook. Tarpo, Fat & common.
